Noticed this olive green spot in my tank about 2 weeks ago. It's been slowly growing and tonight I noticed what looks like tiny bright green polyps on it! I know it's still pretty small, but since it'll likely disappear under the star polyp colony soon I thought I'd get some opinions on it.

Yeah, the brown or olive green spots. Didn't show up well in the photo, but it looks like there's little bright green polys forming in it.

could be a nub of SPS growing.

that is Stomatella varia. they are great algae eaters.

OK, I'll have to look that one up! I was hoping it was a SPS bud of somekind. I've already got an encrusting monti that showed up as a tiny hitch hiker and has been growing nicely.
