I know that six line can be little aggressive, but I can always use my trap to get him out later. Right now I need a wrasse that can eat my flat worms. Does anyone have any other suggestions?
James, if you do not have any other wrasses, then 6 lines should be fine. You are well aware that they are agrressive and they are great for pest control. Good luck.
Sorry to hear about the recent news... hope you get it under control and back to normal eventually.
After the crisis is over... if you have the time, can you list your current setup. I have read the thread and got most of the stuff but I see that you have changed equipment over the course of this thread...
A single post that list all current equipment would be helpful.
What are you currently using for main pump?
Skimmer?
Calcium generator?
Data/Parameter control? What system do you use to measure all the key parameters of the tank?
I love the water system you have and plan to try to put something similar in place. I don't have the advantage of a room to store all this so it will reside in the lanai... pretty eye sore for the wife... so looking to see how I can make it a neat as possible...
Again, best of luck in the AEFW eradicated or under control.
You are the inspiration for a lot of us here with what you have created and the time you take to provide excellent/outstanding photos.
Thanks everyone! I'm adding a six line wrasse in tonight. I'm hoping he doesn't go too crazy
I'm so glad I didn't freak out and start dipping my acros. Using maxijet and turkey baster seems to work great. I don't see too many worms right now falling off, but I'm still going to setup my quarantine tank this week.
Most of my acros are still doing great. I'll keep everyone updated.
oh yeah. Looks like white flakes. Here's a good sign for everyone w/ sps.
Whenever your acros start to look pale especially millies, just blast it w/ turkey baster to make sure no flakes are coming off. You can even suck back the flakes into the baster then release it back into a white bowl for inspection.
Already 4 members on RC PM'd me saying that they have it also. I think more people have it in their tanks with out them knowing it.

Though they do prefer sand, they do not require it. I had one, and it slept in the rocks sometimes, sometimes in the sand. I would NEVER get one again, as it turned out that it eats snails larger than pyramillid snails (the clam ones), that it indeed ate all snails except ones that were too big to eat, being my astreas and mexican turbo. It ate certh and nassarius snails with a vengence. Also hogged the Nori, which surprised me because I didn't think that wrasses ate vegetable matter. He was okay with the other fish, but I didn't like him because he was such an agressive feeder and also because he ate a bunch of my snails. I didn't buy him, but adopted him from someone else's smaller tank in trade for corals. It was a mistake, but whatever, I'm just happy that I gave him a better home than he otherwise would have experienced.
To think i thought my tank was awesome... well i was wrong big time! that tank is AWESOME and thats the first time i have ever seen a jap anemone. EXTREMELY NICE... and i so envy you lol.
O, if you dont mind me asking how much did it cost you including the corals, LR, etc (pretty much everything)?.
