Naka's 180 Starphire tank!!!

Nice fish.
I really love wrasses, but I am afraid to add more to my future rimless tank because I've already lost 3-4 flasher wrasses due to carpet surfing :(

The crazy thing is that I had eggcrate over the tank except for a small 3" area near the overflow. I guess they really had a death wish..

Sweet fishsticks.. That has got to be one of the most stunning flame's i've ever seen. Not that i've seen that many though.

On a side note, i wanted to find out how those sfiligoi lights are working for you?Planning on getting one myself. If you could do it all over again would you still use them?

If i manage to own a tank that is half as beautiful as yours i'll be happy.

Looking good Naka, I love the flasher.

Danskim, why use egg crate? just use the plastic bird netting this way you don't have to look at ugly egg crate on top of your tank.

yeah the bird netting is much better, aesthetically and i think works better because you dont end up with gaps

So far I've been waiting for my quarantine tank to be stable. I'm going to dip all my acros then place them into my qtank for about 6 weeks until the AEFW are gone.

I blast my acros w/ maxijet and turkey baster every morning. So far it's working out great. I'm getting most of the colors back and my Oregon Blue Tort showing no signs of worms.

I'm sooo glad that I didn't panic and started to dip my corals.

Sweet starphire setup naka!!!

One question, are you wishing you had an external overflow instead of the internal one?

Reason why i'm asking is because I can't decide myself for a 24" depth/width custom I'm planning. The internals take up real estate however keeps everything within the tank and stand and doesn't allow plumbing to stick outside where it can be seen.

More like a triple post. I see the original one posted at 4:14 A.M. as well.

Woops...I'm lagging i guess...sorry.

Naka, about the lights, i really would appreciate your feedback. Thanks.

I'll be using HO T5 in a shallow 40 gal. tank. I need to qt my acros to get rid of AEFW.

I bought mine at Lowes

Looks good tbone. Speaking of which, I had a decent T-bone last night. :)

Is this stuff available in clear? I've got a Tech tank, which has a black plastic euro-bracing on top. I'm thinking I could probably fasten something to the plastic brace and stretch the netting to cover the top to avoid having to use a metal or plastic framing. Am I making sense?

Thanks,
Paul

Could you answer 13threefmaniac he asked his question like two or three times and you answer the others but not his.
