My female nakee, aka "Boogie" hosts between a RBTA and a Neon Tipped BTA... the male (aka Boo) sneaks in the RBTA at night... till Boogie sees him! lol

During the day, my male hosts in whatever feels good for the day...could be a Hammer, a Torch or my red frogspawn!

Who said they don't host...?

These guys are pretty impressive. I like the more oddball looking color variations on the fish. My main question is where are you guys buying these from?

Agreed, my pair definitely have a lot of personality. If they don't look good in the LFS then they are doing something wrong; every one that I've seen has been extremely healthy. Ask your LFS to order some from ORA where they are bred -- they are still a bit uncommon but not too difficult to obtain.

You won't find to many of these guys as they usually have a limit of 2 per order. We have two in one of our display tanks as well a great little fish IMO

Ours hang out with each other and have been doing so for months now.

YEY! I just got a pair. Pics to follow after they settle in. They seem very docile, and playful. They are in my new 90 after a 2 hour acclimation. My 4 chromis are chasing them all over so they may have to go if things don't settle down tomorrow.

To answer a few questions from earlier, I got them at a LFS and they were $30 each.I got one that is almost highlighter orange and one a little less bright. One thing I love about them is their dorsal fins. They are so cute.As I typed this my chromis kamikazed them no less than 10 times. Off with their heads (actually off to my buddies 300!).

They were the same size when we brought them home. One has grown considerably larger than the other and is now Female. She will host both ... BTA and RBTA... she allows the male to join her very *selectively.* lol

So he hosts everything from a Torch to a Frogspawn and a Fox Coral. They hang out alot during the day... him doing the little shakey-breaky mating dance. :rollface:

Here is my naked pair

One of them seems to be wearing a Bikini at least. Has some striping. The other has very little. I bought the one with the least stripes with a totally naked one but he didn't even make it home so the one with a few markings was the replacement. This pic is from my fuge where they resided for a few days while I trapped a Gold Striped Maroon in the display and moved her to another tank. They are now in the display and being hosted by my RBTA.

DEAD. very Unfortunately, my green chromis picked one to death, and the other stopped eating after I put the fish trap in for the chromis. three days apart they are gone, less than a week after I got them. Poop.

dont give up, get another pair. its a part of the hobby to have some loss. but dont give up..............

Awwwww!! I'm so sorry!

I'm surprised the Chromis attacked your little guys! My 4 Chromis run from my Naked Clowns!

Just like embryoguy said... get another pair! But this time, put them in QT.

Maybe after QT, have your Chromis removed and add your clowns first... then put your Chromis back in.
