I definitely agree with this one. Fish I don't name I have had for years. Ones with names don't seem to make it beyond six months.

My yellow tang's name is bubbles because we had an air stone in the tank for a while and he would go from one side of the tank to the other and hover over the bubbles coming out. so everytime my wife and i see him do it we say, " my bubbles"

I started naming fish in my FW tank after characters from the Iliad (Hector, Achilles, Agamemnon...) but it didn't really stick and some of them were hard to tell apart or would die and screw up the whole naming system. I mean, you cant have an Achilles without a Hector...

I wasn't going to name my SW fish because i thought it would be pointless, but my girlfriend really wanted to name them. Again we went with the theme, lets see if this one can hold up:

2 ocellaris clowns: Lancelot and Guinevere
Coral Beauty Angel: Merlin
Bicolor Blenny: Excalibur (Due to how he enters and exits "his" rock!)

We have an orage spotted goby named Grandpa...he just looks like a grandpa. Had a firefish named Torch (r.i.p. lil'guy). And several characters form nemo.
