So I have been running the new Odyssea 20000k 250wt/2x24wt PC (I changed out the 24wt actinics for 2 36wt 50/50s-fit perfect and ballast runs them) 20" pendant. Corals seem to enjoy it. For the price and electronic MH ballast, 4 power cords, moonlights and built-in fans, I love it too.

Looks really good!!! Where did you get those lights from?
Ebay. The only problem is that they don't seem to make enough units to handle the sale of them. The Odyssea rep that visits one of the LRS has never been able to get them and the sellers on ebay sell out in a few days and don't usually get more for weeks.
They are well worth the money IMO. They come apart really easily, look well wired and run very cool. After running for 4-5 hours I can put my hand on top and it is only warm to the touch.
Glad I did wait till the electronic ballast units came out as I had heard horror stories about the old mag. ballasts.
I'm really suprised the 20" sells for $169 shipped.

hey, i got the 20 inch 175W from aquatraders.com and i'm pleased with it too. It also comes with the 2x24w atinics but it never occurred to me to switch them out. What PC's did you use?

Odyssea. Seems I have an abundance of them. A LRS sells Odyssea so they are always available and the mark up isn't to bad. Coralife and others sold locally at other LRS are usually marked up 100%. I knwo those places are in business, but I'm afraid they won't be getting mine on dry goods at that type of mark-up.
Anyway, I went back to the actinics as the corals seem to prefer the few hour actinic cycle, then 5 hour MH and then back to actinics for a few hours.
No, I will probably never stop changing things. I only wish I would stop moving the corals around.
I love mine. After running all day I can put my hand on top and it is only slightly warm. Awesome unit for the money.
