Hey guys, as my supplier my Reef with 300L http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1853766, I was thinking of setting up a Nano + - 30L (8 Gallon) in my job.

I thought the model of Cocoon G6 Aquatic Nature, the configuration is as follows:

-Aquatic-Nature Aquarium Cocoon G6 40 x 26 x 30cm with polished glass 5mm high transparency.
-TMC V2 Nano Skim 120L.
-Filter Flow-200 backpack with activated carbon and resin ultra phos.
-Duo-Solar Lighting Blue and White 30,000 to 10,000 Kelvin.
-2 moonlight leds.
-Aquatic-Nature EASY HEATER 25W (1552).
-PRECISION MINI-Aquatic Nature (1512).
-SunSun-JVP-101-B 3000 l / h.
-Live-sand of my principal tank.
-Live-Rock of my principal tank.
-Add-A and B Calxmax 950ml.
-Adding Zooplakton and Zooplakton.

I'm thinking of doing water changes of 5 liters two times a week, one of my principal tank, and another with new water.

What do you think?

Thanks.

Regards.

I think your maintenance plan is a decent one. Those little HOB filters are useless. Since you have a large tank to help you out and use frags from, I would just use a powerhead and skimmer. As long as no fish ever get in there. Since you are using water from your principal system phosphates should already have been dealt with. Should be perfectly fine. I would not feed this system phyto or other invert foods. Just going to add to the bio load. Instead remove water from your main system an hour after feeding and use that for the nano.

My best advice is to get an ATO. That way you're covered in the event of an emergency and you cannot make it to the office. In 2 days enough water will evaporate to cause major problems. In 4 days the whole thing could be dead.

Hello, thanks for all the advice. I think for just a bit of carbon and resin only because the doses of food.

Here is the beginning of the project:

Do let us know how the Finnex light works out. I've been curious about these for my own pico project but am hesitant to buy one.

Hi, a put all sand, rocks and water from my main tank cycled.

Looks pretty good so far. I would move the rocks into the middle of the tank so the fish get to swim in and out of it.
