nano 6045 for 65 gallon?

I have a 65 gallon reef tank full of SPS, LPS, and many other corals. I have been using two modified Maxi-Jet 600's on a wavemaker powerstrip. I like the flow rate of these but I am having problems with them. (I have used two 6200 streams on a 7095 controller on my 215 and love your products, but cant afford to spend alot right now.) I was considering buying two of your 6045 nano streams to replace them for around $86 each. Does this sound like a good fit for the tank, and will they work OK with a typical wavemaker powerstrip that alternates the pumps every minute or so? Do you know of anything else that would work better in this size and type of setup that does not cost hundreds of $$? Thanks as always for your input and I look forward from hearing from you.

The 6945 is not suitable for use on a wavemaker, it will click on start up and will quickly break down if cycled on and off more than once every 15 minutes. Ideally it is switched off and on infrequently with the minimum being 15 minutes between cycles. I think 2 6045 is a bit on the low side of the flow you would want for a 65, My honest opinion is you would be better off limping by on a single 6055 and adding a second later when it fit into your budget.

Yes it will work with any of tunze controllable pumps including the controllable Stream, Stream 2 and NanoStreams. Current controllable Stream versions are 6055, 6105, 6205, 6305
