Nano Euphyllia Species

Wondering what you guys think would be the easiest Euphyllia species to have in a 12 gal nano. I have stock lighting on a 12 gal jbj 12dx and would like to kinda make it the center peice for the tank. Only other thing in there will be some shrooms and ricordea. I am hoping to have my future 2 clowns (black perculas) to host in the Euphyllia, if they will. Don't want to do any anenomes so thought that something like a torch would be the next best thing. Any thoughts or ideas???

Thanks :)

I think the frogspawn has a slightly lower light requirement than the torch, but I think all euphyllia are pretty easy (but I don't know much about the stock lighting on a cube).

Two 24-watt 50/50 power compact bulbs. It would be placed mid to upper mid portion of the tank. I have a maxi jet 600 in there with a hydroflo on it for a variable current. There would be nothing else around it except for some unkillable xenia so it would have room to grow. I am hoping a frog spawn would be a good choice.....I like both the spawn and the torch equally

Mine are under 2-65 watt dual daylights/dual actinics and are doing wonderfully. I have heard of people keeping euphyllias under a cube's stock lighting, but I personally would upgrade and if I were in your position, I'd try a frogspawn. JMO.

Branching frogspawn/hammer/anchor is your best choice, torch corals are too aggressive.

I have all three, well recently got a frogspawn and torch... literly yesterday. lol... but my hammer is doing well.

I've read that clowns hosting in Euphyllia's can be bad for them. The clowns sometimes bury down hard and grind the coral on it's own skeleton. Interesting info on the torch being more aggressive tho, thanks Agu.
