Nano= no no?

That's pretty pricey compared to the 28 gal NanoCube HQI. I own one so I can vouch for it....

it's 6 gallons less but has the same lighting as the Red Sea Max. The NC HQIs also have a filtration system in the back that makes building a fuge to set up an all natural filtration system very easy. The only thing the RSM has that's nice is a better protein skimmer and all the built-in power strips and controls, but I don't think that's worth $1000 more.

I've owned quite a few All In One Tanks and the NC HQI is pretty darn cool. Just my 2 cents.

Figure out what you want. Look at SPS corals. Do you like the stony look, or are you a LPS kinda guy? I have the Red Sea 34g with stock lighting. I keep simple corals, and some fishies. The tank feels like it's just the right size. I wouldn't bother with the upgraded lighting kit; you can get the tank without it for $650 shipped with stand. Paying the $600 more for better lights is a waste when you can get an entire tank setup from JBJ for that price.

If you want HQI lighting get the JBJ HQI 28g. You sacrifice a few gallons and some thickness in glass (I've read a few stories on our nano forums of the JBJ shattering- none of that with the RSM that I've read though.)
