Hi all I've recently aquired a nano tank with led lighting and I'm looking to setup a reef tank for my little boy so basically I'm new to marine (I've got a tropical setup myself ) so i need all the help possible, what's the best substrate what type of filter and heater do I need what type of live rock, do I need a power head or wave maker ? What's the best grazers (clean up crew) to add once cycled and finally what's the best fish for a nano my tank is 35x35x32

Nice looking tank! For starters, I would definitely use rock and sand as part of the filtration. This can be dry or live rock/sand, but at least that. I am still a "newbie", so other input from more seasoned reefers will be needed, but I would start there.

Use dry sand and dry rock. The tank will take longer to cycle, but it is worth not getting hitchikers from the live rock. Get an overflow box plumbed into a sump where you can house your skimmer and other filtration. Look into the trigger sumps.
