Nano Sizes

Hi Roger - I just ordered a couple nano streams at Aq Arts. I just need a reco on sizes. My tank is 48" long and 32" wide. My LR is in the middle of the tank on starboard. The starboard extends from the back of my tank to about 12" from the front, and there is a SSB between the end of the starboard and the front of my tank.

I'm trying to find the right pump to put on the BACK panel near the bottom of the tank. I want to point them at the starboard and push all detritus out from under the rock onto the SSB. The will be about 6-8" from the bottom and point downward at the starboard to spread the flow.

I'm trying to decide between the two non-controllable NS sizes - is the flow WIDTH any wider with the larger one? Or the same pattern just more water. I'd love to get away with the smaller ones but if you think the larger ones are wider I'll get those.

Also they'll only run a few hours per day. If I have them on a controller to come on twice during the MH photoperiod for a couple hours would that be OK? Like 2p-4p and then again 8p-10p?

Thanks,

David

I also asked if they'll carry the new external skimmers - I hope they do, I'd love to see them in person!

The new skimmers are actually in sump, not external. I think the 6045 would be good for what you want to do. The reach changes but not so much the width of the flow.

Thanks Roger, going down to pickup the 6045 today. I'll see if I need another - I have a buddy who wants to try the other 6045.
