I am not sure, not having tried. This forum or the nano forum may have a reader who knows the answer. If you gave me the dimensions of where it needs to fit I could check into it.
Well there are three openings the widest is 6.1cm wide by 13cm long by 33cm tall of course since there will be no hood it can stick out above the tank a bit.
There is a lip that is about 1mm that could be modified but cutting it out from the inside.
I tried asking around about a skimmer for this tank but the only response I got really was "You don't need a skimmer on a tank that small." I do not agree I think we need every advantage we can get and while a skimmer does not replace water changes it certainly compliments them, not to mention the chemical warfare that goes on between corals.
I apologize I just realized I gave you the dimensions to the wrong compartment where the skimmer would go. Actually it is 12.7cm long x 7.6cm wide x 33cm tall Do you think it could still work??
Thanks Roger! Big help! Just a couple more days till "Flash aaaahhhhh, he saved every one of us!" Just hope its nothing like the new Doctor who, it was good at first but it has been getting more terrible with every episode this season. Of course the new Battlestar Galactica rocks.
