its a sunpod and i use the legs it came with because i cant really hang it in my apartment. so to answer you question about 4". I have to take light acclimation seriously but no heat problems.

one time before i had my fan on a timer my wife for got to turn on the fan. i came home and my temp was 87 lucky no damage to my reef. but i put the fan on a timer sice then.

Im having a Steel stand Built for my tank in white with a "Modern" style light hanging bar built in, it should be pretty sweet, then im going to have a removable skin built to look similar to Glassbox's stand.
