Hello

A few of us in the UK have had the shafts rust and snap at the base of the nanostreams.

I really havent got any info from the Tunze uk people so thought id post on here as you guys have had them a while longer, is this was a known problem and if sohas it now be fixed?

I love the nanostreams but they are very frustrating, ive sent 3 back now already, 2 rattly and 1 broken shaft.

Many thanks

are you running them on a wavemaker by chance? i dont know why but 3 broken shafts seems like user error somehow. i have run a tottall of 5 nanostreams and none of the shafts broke.

No not on a wavemaker or anything

2 of the nano streams were returned because of have excess noise and just one has been returned with a broken shaft but it seems that theres a few of us now in the UK who have experienced this problem.

I took a pic at the time

We since changed the source of our shafts, apparently Chinese metallurgy isn't the greatest. We believe the cause is a high content of chromium making the steel very hard and brittle and then when we press the shaft in stress fractures cause it to snap. We have since switched to stainless steel from the EU. There was just too much variability in the Chinese made part, some are perfect some are brittle. You need to send in the motor for replacement.
