Nano tank---?A

No. The reasoning is very simple, for small pumps, many other companies do this quite well. When you are only pumping 80-200gph, a 1/2 outlet is acceptable and the point of our technology is largely lost, it is not worth the engineers time and the cost of development could not be recuped.

How nano are we talking? I might have some suggestions that aren't necessarily Tunze but may be better than most.

Why not use the Eheim 300 Minipumps. I also have them as Tunze Mini Pump 5024. They are about the size of a box of matches and pump 80gph. They are made by Elan- an italian company. They use 4w of power. I would probably use 3-4 of them and if you wanted to be really fancy hook them up to a simple wavemaker. They are cheap- Our price is $12.12. As I said they are super tiny, about the size of a box of matches.

hey roger-
do you have a picture or link to more info about these matchbox sized pumps and/or can you suggest a retailer?

Hmm, looks like Eheims pump is a bit different from ours. I will post pics of ours tomorrow. The middle size Eheim pump is the same as our 210 mini pump and is what powers the 3110 skimmer so I assumed they were all the same. It is also the same pump that drives the ZooMed powerheads.

I only have two pumps in stock right now as they are mainly sold as a spare Osmomat part. I can get more early next year. MD, Premium, Champion or your local dealer can get these pumps for you.

Also, I checked into it and the Eheim pump is slightly deeper, the Tunze pump is 1.25" front to back- it only does 70gph with 31" head max. The Eheim pump does 80gph with 40" head max. The Eheim pump is 2" deep.
Both are made by Elan but they are different models.

sorry to hijack the thread but rvitko what could tunze do for a 24"cube tank?

I have done this tank before and used a 7300/2. It worked very well. How are you doing Lunch? I hope everything is going well for you.

Electronic pulsing pump, does 792gph at max from a 1" outlet. You can use it with a single or multicontroller.
