Whats the difference in changing the voltage form 12 to 24?

The pump run stronger at 24v compare to 12v...

Will that determine the size of wave the box produces. Also should I turn off my powerheads in the tank before tuning the wave box or should they be on?

Yes it will effect the size of the wave. You don't have to turn off the powerhead but it will be easier if you do

If the pump is operating on 24v will it cause the pump to wear out faster?

No. Typically you would use 24 V on all but the smallest tanks.

Man I have a ton of questions.

Will the Blue LED lighting on my fixture make the PhotoCell start the wavebox even though the MH is off? Also where should I place the Photocell?

It might if they are very close together. You will need to find a placement where the Blue LED's have no effect.
