Nano wavebox clicking

My tunze nano wavebox produces an audible "click" every time the pump turns on (can hear easily from across the room). This is something that it's always done (three years old) and hasn't ever really bothered my in my generally noisy apartment.

However, I am moving everything soon and will put all the equipment in a separate room to minimize noise around the tank. Since the wavebox is in the tank, I thought I would see if there is a solution to the issue.

In the time you had it, did you ever change the drive unit and disk? These were updated in late 2010 and are much quieter now. Parts 6055.740 and 6055.700 should at least halve the noise. You will need to remove the old disk which will require a tool like our 0220.707, you can also get this type of pick tool at most auto or hardware stores, usually a pack of 4 asst picks is $5-10.

No, I haven't ever changed anything with them as the noise never really bothered me before.
