Hey everyone, this is my first post on RC and it's about my nano wavebox.
First some info, i am running a standard 90gal 48X18X25 with a single corner overflow.
For flow i am running a quietone 6000 split by a locline "Y" adapter. And two Tunze 6025's
I have my wavebox directly opposite my overflow.
It seems to me that my wave is quite a bit smaller than most other nano waveboxes on a 48" tank. The largest size i can squeeze out is maaaaaaybe 1". there is obviously a wave going as my frospawn really has the sway going.
I tried adjusting the wave timing to get it bigger, but that hasn't worked. I also have the voltage on the pump set to max.
With my return pump off, the wave goes nuts and everything starts to really move in the tank, probably about a 2" wave.
With the return pump ON there is hardly enough of a wave to move the polyps on my sps' and stil quite a bit of detritus settling on rocks.
My question is, with the wavebox opposite of my overflow is the pump from the WB fighting my return? Is it better to have the WB on the same side as the overflow?
Any help or input would be greatly appreciated!!
