I'm looking into buying the nanotuners.com 3.24 upgrade for my BC14. They offer 3 choices of bulbs; a 10k bulb, an Actinic Blue bulb , and a 50/50 10k/Actinic bulb. Since then BC already has an Actinic and a 10k, which bulb should I choose? In order to keep corals healthy and growing quickly, while still getting good color.
Also, what is the general opinion on this upgrade? Is it worth the $91 (including shipping)? Or would I be better doing something else? I'm open for suggestions. I am financially limited though, no more than $100, and I would like to keep the stock look.
Would I be able to keep montipora under this upgrade? I've got a perfect spot picked out for a monti cap in my tank. Can I keep monti under the stock lighting? If it's close to the surface?
