Hey all :)

Well, we decided to go ahead and break down our other tanks and combine them into one 75g. We are still planning on getting a 120 once we move, but for now this will be fun and something to do. Thanks to everyone who tagged along on my other thread and I hope you like this one too! Comments and suggestions always welcome :)

Tank and stand in box. We decided to be lazy and just buy a stand instead of building a nice one.

Another view. This is not where the tank will be setup.

My dog watching us thinking we're crazy!

Tank and stand out of the box.

Stand is okay. Not enough room for a large sump which kinda sucks but that's what we get for buying it. We knew when we bought it.

We decided to paint the back of the tank black again. I really like the way the black pops the corals and fish. I like it alot better then the blue background.

Tank laid down on it's front to paint. This is the first time we tried it this way and it worked well. The sheet is to protect the front side of the tank from scratching.

Happy with the way it came out. I'll take updated photos of it tomorrow after I get home.

Looking good!

Two things:

1. Your going to have to change your name from nanogurl.

2. Your dog looks crazy with green eyes.

Seriously though, I love the black, plus it matches the entertainment units!

I think that is the same stand that I have and have a 30 Long for a sump you can't get it in and out with the tank set on top but I removed the top brace and set it in from the top then reinstalled the brace. Works good for me.

Maybe you can set up the center brace so that it can be removeable? I have two four foot tanks with no center brace. This could be done while the tank is still empty, once filled, you wont have any access; but you'll be moving soon anyway and getting a new tank(probably doesn't matter much, now). That way for access you can remove the brace and replace it so it still looks good with doors closed.

are gonna put a sump on this one?

edit After seeing the built in over flow i feel like a turd... what i mean is how big of a sump are you gonna use

This should be fun. Your other tanks were awesome and am sure this one will yield the same results. :) Nice doggy, btw.

Nice job, looking good :)

Will your eel (eels?) be going in here?

Thanks :) Yea, I'm going to keep Oreo (zebra eel) and transfer him over until we get the 120 for him and probably a banana eel.

That's what we were thinking as well.

Yea maybe, I guess it will depend on how badly we want a sump. Even if we could get a 55 in there, it's too long as the inside is only like 46".

We have a 29g now we can use, or buy a 30g or get one made custom. Not sure yet!

I would also go with a 30 gallon sump. I have one on my 90 gallon tank.It has the same footprint as yours.

Yea, we probably will. It's only 6" longer then the 29g so I'm not sure if it's worth buying a new tank?
