This should be fun. Your other tanks were awesome and am sure this one will yield the same results. :) Nice doggy, btw.

Thanks a lot Drummereef :)

I love my dog!

Hi Nano,

Tank is looking good. I was just wondering if you still have your snowflake eel ??

In addition, how are the gliders doing ??? Those are the coolest little guys.

Thanks :) No, I don't have my snowflake anymore or my flame angel. I sold them. I am trying to sell my other stuff too except for my zebra eel which I decided to keep.

Gliders are doing fantastic thank you :) I should be producing my own leucistics any day now. I am just waiting for them to come O.O.P. I'm so excited!!

Okay, the black paint dried overnight and there were only a few small places to fix, but other then that it came out really good I think.

One problem we did find however was a scratch in the front that wasn't visible when dry. But when we wetted down the glass to wipe it out you could see it. Will you see a scratch with the water filled?

Another view.

Thinking about getting inside the tank to take a photo like they do in the large tank section lol.

For the scratch it's hard to say. I have a small, hairline, scratch on the front glass of my 40g that I can notice even with water in the tank. But, you will probably be the only one to notice it since it's your tank. :)

Okay... for lighting I was thinking about going with the Sun Tek T5 setup. Reefgeek has some for a good price. Maybe the 6 bulb setup?

I don't want to build a canopy and retro it... so I don't have many choices.

Any opinions on an all T5 setup with the Sun Tek?

I had 6 T5's across my 75g, I later switched to the 150w HQI with compacts.. I love this look so much better.

I really wish I would have gotten the dual 250w HQI with the 95w
compacts..

Depends, if you want to go fish only the T5's are awesome, or if you want to grow easy corals. They are great too.

I wanted to be able to have clams and stony's that require lots of
light so I went HQI.

I have learned from experience, go all the way with lights the first time, because
starting small and going bigger, then a little bigger and finally to HQI's costs a lot more then just going HQI in the first place.

Thanks for the great info.

What T5 fixture did you purchase if you don't mind me asking? Did it have the individual reflectors for each bulb?

No, not fish. Mainly corals. Shrooms, zoos, rics, few SPS, anenome maybe.

I agree about the lights first the right time. On my other tanks I've had everything but T5's. Never tried them but am interested. Thanks again.

I had coralife T5's they had a reflector for every 2 bulbs..
I really didn't like the fixture since it had the potential to short out easily.
I did like the coral growth I got from them though!
I pulled the bulbs and tossed the fixtures. I may build a T5 fixture someday.
I have no experience with the Sun Tek T5's
