IDk, I guess I could have been ripped off on the pounds. It wouldn't suprise me. There is a lot of rock work in there in the back that's hard to see. I made a lot of caves and crevices stack on top of each other for my eel and now the PBT. There's some in the sump too.

I'll weigh it when I move the tank. It would be interesting to know now. I didn't know the pounds of rock in my tank would be so interesting to people lol.

<LOL> I was just curious..... I always used to wonder how much rock will 'fill' up the tank.... It's nice to know details like that also!!!

I wouldnt worry too much, maybe some people feel they have been ripped off! I have found that different types of rock is far dense that others, then take in to account that when it becomes "live rock" it really weighs alot! You could easily have 150# of rock, its just a matter of what type of rock it is. BTW great looking pics and keep up the great job:D

Yea, it is good to know. I'll check when I can and update. Might be a year though so don't hold your breath lol.

Thanks :) I'm not worried about it, but it would be good to be accurate just to know. I can probably weigh the stuff in my sump easily cuz it doesn't have any corals in it.

Hey how is ocean, any signs of black ich? Any flashing or scratching?

Doing great thanks! No black dots or scraping so far. I think this is day 8. I should know in about a week if the cycle repeated. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Any luck with the flatworms yet? Sucks.... :(

Slacker! I just started to deal with this today. I am positive they came in on a piece of rock that I got before that was in my nano.. i never knew what it was. Now I do!

I went to the LFS today and bought a mandarin and six line wrasse. I am going to syphon out all I can and try those two to see how they do with eating them. I don't want to medicate if I don't have too.

Right now the two new fish are in quarantine. I'll give them a couple of days and see how they do. I don't want to keep the mandarin in the QT too long, there is zero food for him in there.

Hopefully the wrasse will look good and i can move him over soon. I'm not going to QT him a full term bc I want to see if he'll eat any of the FW's.. but I will keep him there a few days at least.

Flat worms

Flat worms

I just noticed your post about flat worms. My tank has them and I've tried flat worm exit a couple times etc. but they always seem to come back. Do mandarins or six line wrasse's actually eat them? Never heard that before, but would love to have something suck those little buggers down...

Yea, Mandarins sometimes will eat them, six line's are more prone to eat them. But it's hit or miss as with most fish.

Sounds like a good plan. I'm all for the 'natural' approach. Have you siphoned out any of them yet?

No, I'm being a slacker! I wanted to wait and see what happens with the new fish first.
