I am not sure this is true.
I was quite happy with 2 x 150's and 4 x 3' VHO's over my 100g, which was 28" top to bottom. I had to be very careful what I picked and where I put it but it worked. Another thought is that you will need more lights anyway, either 150's or 250's, so you could use your 150's towards the outer ends and a 250 or two in the center. This will also save a bit of electricity.

Yea, I would def have to buy two more 150 sets. I'm not sure how that would look, running 250's and 150's... that's an interesting idea though. Hmmm more things to ponder...
I could always run the 150's and add T5's for more light, but I really like the way the phoenix bulb looks without any other lights.

Okay here are a couple of photos of the tank from today since everyone has been bugging me for updated photos. The tank is still a work in progress due to moving the corals around to siphon the FW's.. but it is what it is

Since everyone wanted an action shot here you go! LoL I was trying to adjust the flow on my NanoStream and broke two of the four cheap plastic things holding the stream to the magnet. Really disappointed with the quality of the NanoStreams. I've had problems with both 6045's that I've ordered.

I would definetly go as wide as possible. It really helps with aquascape IMO.I just ordered a 96 x 30 x 25 from glass cages. With 2 low iron panels and internal overflows. I started building my wall and I was suprised 96 is long... I really wanted a 36 but settled for a 30 due to space.

Jeeze, this forum is the biggest group of leg-humpers I have ever seen. You guys act like you've been locked up for 50 years and havn't seen a woman since. Every female that comes on this board and makes a thread gets 3498749324 replies telling how amazing her tank looks and how neat everything is.
