Oh Marky I've been all over your site... remembering your site is another matter.

I was thinking two for what we have and mount them up high.

Thanks for the info I might order one of those.

Those are kewl! You could get 30 amps or 3600 watts with two of those in the same space as the 8 with half of each.

They are affordable and provide some nice flexibility. If I'd seen them sooner I might have bought them myself.

There is also a version where the switches are wired to a box 6' - 12' away from the section that everything plugs into.

Question for all you DIY ers.

If we setup the tank in that room, then finished it off while the tank was in there.. how risky is that? Assuming the top of the tank would be covered to prevent dust/sanding.. but what about fumes from drywall, paint, tile and such?

I know it would be better to finish that first, but would it be unsafe to do it with the tank in the room?

I realize I'm a day late. Will you forgive me?

I would not finish the room around the tank. Drywall is one of the phases I do at work. WE normally tape the door frames shut, and cover up the ducts. The drywall dust still makes it to another floor of the house for the next few days. I always warn the customer. They always say I thought you were just exagerating especially with all the procotions you took. They are always amased after that fine dust is still filtering around aweek later.

FWIW Drywall dust and refinishing hardwood floors are the Worst in my opinion.

Did you lose anything?

nope, not from that at least ;).

I've also seen those 8 switch panels at idjnow for a bit cheaper than the what I've seen elsewhere, though they're labeled under a different name.

As far as I can tell... although in the interest in full disclosure I will admit that one of my switches (number 3, to be precise) only acts as a momentary switch. If you try to turn it off, as soon as you let it go it pops back on. I don't know if it's because it's more cheaply made or if it's just a random failure (i'm inclined to think it's a random failure, but who knows? they look identical to me).

Hmmm... looks identical to me too.

You guys really don't want a FTS right now! I have moved stuff around trying to fix the flow and nitrate problem until we can get the new 120 going.
