I'm a little confused where you guys got your numbers from.
Not the one I'm talking about!!!:
Turbelle® nanostream 6025
For aquariums from 40 to 200
litres (11 to 53 USgal.)
Flow rate: 2,500 l/h (660 US gal./h)
Energy consumption: 7 W
The one I am talking about:
Turbelle® nanostream 6045
For aquariums from 100 to 200
litres (26 to 53 USgal.)
Flow rate: 4,500 l/h (1,189 US gal./h)
Energy consumption: 8 W
Sorry, I read it wrong, it is 8W of power, not 6W like I originally mentioned. The 6045 is the better of the two, and there is a 6055 that is variable speed and variable wattage that is not created for our 115V, but instead for the 230V to be used by a controller.
Also, from what I have been reading, most of the mods created make the power consumption between 15-20W. That all depends on the prop used, resistance from water pull, and resistance due to SG, not to mention that this is probably tested in fresh water, completely cleaned, with a brand new MJ to get such a low wattage as 10W. Lowest I have heard recorded was 13W, most on the higher side of 15W.
