NARC April Meeting

We need a host. We can visit a store somewhere if enough of us are going. Or else we need a volunteer who can host our meeting. Anyone willing to host us in April?

I recently volunteered at the McWayne Center in Birmingham. I know its kinda far from Huntsville, but I could give you Tina Smith, the senior aquariust's, email address. I'm sure she could arrange a tour if you gave her enough notice. It is very interesting to see all the equipment they use for all the tanks. They have a 12ft tall protein skimmer that's pretty impressive. Also when I was there I got to play with the octopus! They are such interesting creatures. I was very surprised how playful and curious he was. They way they feed him is neat as well. They put food in a screw top peanut jar and he opens it up. I've always heard about it, but it was amazing to see it done in person. You guys could also inspect their coral tank setup that they are planning as well.

Just an idea...

I bet B&B pet in mobile would let ya, they have group activities for all kinds of pets all the time and they value their s/w stuff. Shop is helpful and nice. Just an idea.(nothen ever happens in the southern part of al.)

I am still looking for a host for April.

In the mean time I succeeded in talking CRA for hosting us on May 17th. We will start at 11:00 AM since that start time works pretty well for John. I am working on 8BAll for June since he really has a great set-up and he also has more room because he built a new addition to his house. I am sure that some of you want to check out his large pond as well.

So anyone else for April? If not, how about meeting at a restaurant for lunch like a few people suggested earlier? We can eat outside somewhere and trade some frags and used equipment or something.

Directions: Its pretty simple, coming from Huntsville come over mountain on 431 south to the Hampton Cove area. Take a right at the stop light (Sutton Rd.) there is a Lowes and Walmart there. Take the next left at the Stop light (Taylor Rd.) and follow it all the way down to the end and you will see Freedom Park Dr. on the last street on the LEFT. take the left and then take the RIGHT into the cul-de-sac (Freedom Park Cir.) we are at the end 7017.

Anyone that lives on the south end of huntsville knows you can get over here by Cecil Ashburn (Four Mile Post)

If anyone has any frags to bring I would like some :) My tank is okay for my likes but it does need a lot more for potential growth.

We can make it at lunch time and have it Pot Luck style. If it is nice outside we will have a lot of room.
