Hi y'all,

Jason and Tammy will host us in July. Our meeting will be on Saturday July 11th at their house. They said after anytime 12:00 pm is fine with them.

Jason and Tammy will provide us with light snacks and soft drinks. If any of you would like to bring some snacks or dessert to share, I am sure that will be fine with them.

See you all there!

Tomoko

Jason - Tammy ; Can newbies attend this meeting? I have noticed that you have an active club in North Alabama and my husband Nigel and I would like to attend.

Thank you.

We love to have newbies. Gotta have some one to lie to.lol You two are more than welcome to come. Most of us like to sit around and tell fish stories and share new and some old ideas. If you need directions we will be glad to send them to you. Just send us a PM.
Thanks Jason

Hey Jason I'll bring enough plastic ware this weekend for both weekends so that will be covered. I am sure the rest of my group will bring something too.

hey can you guys PM me directions/time/details as well please? Definetly thinking about coming, will proly buy a few xenia frags off of you guys...

As you can tell from my first post on the discussion board. http://bit.ly/LargeHermitCrabs . I'm just learning about the hobby. I've been reading everything I can find on the web (RC/RK, about.com, etc) about keeping a nano reef. I'd love to attend a meeting, maybe next month though ( My daughter's First Birthday Party is tomorrow. ).

I've never had a saltwater tank and i forgot all my Marine Biology 101, so i'm Just trying to learn everything I can since I don't have the money right now to get started. Looks like the folks here are nice, I Look forward becoming an active member in the group in the future!

anyone that's coming tomorrow have any pom-pom xenia? I seem to have the bases covered between our hosts and tomoko as far as pink/waving hand and blue xenia but still on the lookout for some pom-pom !

From I-65, take exit 304 and go west (left if you're coming from Birmingham), go to the signs that say Smith Lake Park, take a right. This is County Rd 813. Go to the next Smith Lake Park sign (McQueen's Boat Storage), turn left. This is CR 385. Follow past the entrance to the park, road will turn to gravel. Take the last left. If you need to call, we're at 256-737-9775. We look forward to seeing everybody.

Ouch. I hope Nigel is okay.

I could not make it either simply because my navigation system took me to some no man's land beyond where Jason and Tammy lived. It felt like I was on an off-road test track, going up and down a narrow dirt road with a bridge with only two wood planks over a river :eek2:. Then, it refused to show me the way to their house :mad2:.

LOL ya nav systems can have a mind of their own once you get out into the county off of the major highway.

"Everyone always wants new things. Everybody likes new inventions, new technology. People will never be replaced by machines. In the end, life and business are about human connections. And computers are about trying to murder you in a lake. And to me, the choice is easy."

LoL I was on my bike a while back and mine took me down some back roads out in BFE TN then the battery died on me right as I came up on a bridge that was closed for construction. Bride was gone. I remembered my next turn but had no idea how to back track and find my way so I went around the bridge and crossed the creek. I came flying up the bank and surprised the heck out of a couple on a quad lol. 700lb street bike isn't the ideal off road machine! Stupid GPS
