NARC September meeting

Tomoko, I would like some of the neon green star polyps. I will not be able to attend the meeting, but Monica(being the dear that she is) agreed to pick it up for me if you will let me have some. I would be ever so greatful.

Here's a message from beaslbob:

Hope to make it this month and will bring some two liters of soda.

Along with my usual diy 2 part stuff.

BTW I noticed this:

"Welcome to NARC. Just show up at the meeting and you are a member. We do not have any officers or membership fees. We do have a meeting almost every month. We live in Guntersville and there are several others on Reef Central in the Gadsden area."

So what happened to the $50,000 of small bills I gave Mariner?

LOL

Always nice to meet new people.

:D :D :D :D  I am so glad i joined RC.I have had my little aquarium about 8 mos. I have been searching and searching for some kind of group close by that i could join and maybe buy some zoas and xenias and mushrooms and other easy to keep animals from. I live half way between Huntsville and Arab and LFS's are hard to come by. I would love to come to the meeting and bring my daughter. She has a 55 gal that she wants to fill up to.:)

Well Duh; I have never been to one of these meetings, so what do you do there? Is it inside the Petco Store?

Our meeting is very informal. We often just hang out with each other looking at what's available at a hosting LFS or a host's (fellow hobbyist) tank and livestock. We periodically trade (sell or give away) corals, too.

This month's meeting is at Petco in Decatur. Just come in and find us. We should be in the store toward the back where aquarium stuff is located.

Tomoko

That sounds great. I don't have much in my little tank. So it will be a while on trading anything. I would be interested in some of your orange and green zoas. How much do you ask for them? I would also like some of the pink xenia. I would be interested in some of the little blue xenia if any of you have that. I just love this kind of stuff. I am not that interested in fish except Clown fish, blennys and gobys, and my very favorite Seahorses.

casper, welcome to NARC always great to meet new people in the hobby.

Bob, I am sure mariner was only charging you a damage deposit to get in his house at the last meeting. Can't say I blame him. LOL

Bob,
That was your donation to Mariner's Reef Ministry, LLC. It's a totally different organization. The good news is that your donation should be entirely tax deductible once I get the 501c papers forged....uh I mean filed.

All,
Bama's game with Arkansas will be the early TV game next week. I think it starts at 11:00 or 11:30. I'm still going to try to make the meeting (whatever time we settle on) if possible, but Mrs. Mariner has a conflict.
:(

Yes, it's still at 12:00 pm. I have not asked Petco to change the time since no one asked me to change it to any specific time. So let me ask you all for the last time. Is 12:00 pm okay? If not, please let me know when to change it to by tomorrow night. If we are going to change it, I would like to give enough time to forewarn Petco and the people who are wanting to come to the meeting.

Tomoko

12 will be ok. With the time of the game, I'd prefer a little earlier, but since I'm not even 100% sure I can make it (wife still has conflict) I don't want you to change it for me.
If I'm able to come, I have a nice piece of two of xenia and a silver dollar sized toadstool leather I could bring, if there's interest beyond what others are already bringing; let me know.
