I have a 4"-5" naso tang for about 3 months. Came home today and he's not looking or doing well i don't have another tank to put him in if anybody can come get him tonight and maybe bring him back to healthly state that would be great.. Of course he is free. I just want him to survive.... Thanks

He stoped eating 3 days ago turned blackish from his normal grey and is not swimming around hanging out on bottom struggling there have not been anything visable signs of anything going wrong...

Sorry to hear.

Before you buy a replacement, start a discussion to find out where the cause is. I would be happy to start trouble shooting. Give us a break down of your system, even a few pics would help alot too.

Next time anybody you know has a fish die, put it in a zip lock bag and freeze it for me. I will perform a necropsy and see what I can find.

A naso tang grows to 16", it needs a high oxygen environment. You had it in a 34 red sea max?

I would hope not. I believe he also has a 450 gallon or something like that, right?

Sometimes fish just don't make it unfortunately. What tankmates did he have? The turning dark thing was caused by a stress of some sort. Is there any way another fish was picking on him? Do you know all the parameters of the tank?
I am sorry for your loss.:(
