I was just wondering about the streamers on their tails, is it only the males that will have them, I heard that somewhere and how do you tell the difference male or female??

Yes, males have streamers, females dont.

The way you tell the difference? If it has streamers, then it is a male. If it doesnt have streamers but is large sized, then its a female.

If it doesnt have streamers but is only 5 or so inches long, there isnt any way short of blood testing to confirm the sex.

Yes only males have streamers and those are developed once it sexually differentiates.
