Just read the post on PBT with Achilles. I have a 300 that has been running for 5 years. I have an achilles (4in) and a black tang(7in) with a few other fish. I thought about a PBT but I believe naso may be a better option.

ANyone have expereince with a Naso and an Achilles?

Thanks

Since Naso's are known to be a little less aggressive than Achilles you might have some problems. 300 Gallons is pretty big but your Achilles will still be ****ed. Isolating him, adding the Naso then re-introducing the Achilles with the lights off may do the trick. With multiple tangs adding another tang is always a risk.

I have a juvi 3" Achilles with a 4" blonde naso and they are fine together but they are also still small and young. I introduced the achilles after the naso was in the tank already so I'm not sure how the opposite would go. I had a mirror on the side of my tank because I was trying to catch a wrasse and keep him distracted and the achilles was going nuts after himself but doesn't bother anyone else in the tank.

If you can get past the initial aggression from the Achilles you will be fine. Established Naso tangs are not very aggressive but they can hold their own against much more aggressive fish. I would try a Naso that is much larger than your achillies. Try to get one at least 7" if not bigger.
