nassarius snail

so i basically just started my tank and i was wondering if it is normal for the nassarius snails to leave a trail of slime behind them when they move?
i have white fine sand in my tank and the sand sticks to the slime and kind of creats a string looking thing..

im thinking its normal but just want to make sure..

Yes. They don't always leave a visible slime trail, but it's not uncommon.
