No areas of the world's oceans remain completely untouched by humanity's influence, according to a new study.

Every area of the oceans is feeling the effects of fishing, pollution, or human-caused global warming, the study says, and some regions are being affected by all of these factors and more.

Thought some might find it an interesting, if not alarming, read.

I find it strange that they seemed surprised. I read this article and found it to be what we already know. I guess I am a bit perplexed that they thought there might be areas that were unaffected by things such as "global" warming. I guess what bugs me the most is when they hit fishermen, and hand collectors with restrictions rather than go after the massive devastating long liners and trawlers or the people who collect with cyanide. It seems to me that their priorities are way off. Stopping sport fishermen while allowing for commercial fishing is like worrying about whether oir not to perform a nose job on a dead woman.

I've said this before, but what paul said plus it is legal for a hotel to restore its beach, which kills acres and acres of coral and habitat by siltation, but I can't take a coral frag for my tank. Go figure!!!
