Anyone using water straight from the gulf for your tanks? i have used it before and for some water changes on my temp tank. Never had a problem with it, just not convenient to access all the time for larger amounts. In the past, i have add chlorine when i got home and left it in the sun for a day or two to burn off the chlorine and settle anything out that died from the disenfecting

I've used it before and I collected from right under the bridge at Coquina Beach on Bradenton. I always picked it up on an incoming tide and I ran it through a filter sock just to make sure it was clean but I never had a problem it's just a pain to get 20-30 gallons at a time.
