Naussarius snails?

If you're not married to the snail idea I suggest a bullet goby. Best damn sand sifter I've ever come accross. Can be a little messy since they hover but I think they are worth it.:)

plus i have to add that those pesky little $#$!#@# snails can wind up trashing your pump impeller or worse the entire pump when they get trapped inside it.....

ive always had great luck with Naussarius snails! I have about 8 in my tank and they lay eggs all the time on the glass! i know they had a few of the big ones up here at Exotic Aquatic this week...

Eco Reef just got tons of the little ones in...about 1/2" long. I need to get by there to get some myself. They are awesome sand stirrers...which I like to have along with a sand sifting starfish.

LOL it happened to the best of us.

Kewl, I'll be going up to Broward this weekend. Once I had a Diamond Goby and he kept the sand clean but I couldn't handle the sand storms. My rocks looked like the Himalaya mountains with all that sand. I think I'll go with the snails this time.

Thanks every1!

Oh I see that you guys recommend two different gobies.
The Bullet goby and the Diamond goby.
Which one do you recommend more? or is there hardly any difference at all?

Is the diamond goby as bad as the golden head goby? I have a small diamond head goby and he stays hidden except at night.

After seeing Gasman's sandbed with his 2 diamonds and 1 yellow watchman, I'm sold on gobies. I'm probably gonna go grab one this weekend.

Ok cool, buy one for me too. hehe

Observation about nassarius snails. These critters are carnivors correct? They can quickly sense pieces of raw shrimp and frozen meats when I feed the ricordeas and sometimes they crawl right on top of them to get to the food. Other than that they spend their time in the sand bed. I got mine from exotic aquatics along with a fighting conch and a sand sifting sea star. they're great sand sifters.

Just bought a Diamond Goby at Reef Life today :)
It's a great fish, very active.

Thanks for the tip ZooCrazy, I will place a lid tonight.
