Hello everyone! Its time to make it official. I moved down to South Fl and in January I started building my new setup from scratch. I was originally going to do a 57g Deep Blue but I wanted to go shallower and the 40 fit the bill. I'm excited to post its progress and it's now going pretty stable so here it is.

With stand cover:

Without stand cover:

Tank: Petco 40 Breeder w/1" "Herbie" style overflow and 3/4" return
Sump: Petco 20 long with 4 - 3/8" glass baffles
Stand: 2 x 4 with pull away skin/cover
Lighting: AI Sol Blue
Skimmer: Vertex 130
Filtration: BRS reactor with GFO / MJ 1200
Return: Speedwave DC 5000
Heater: Cobalt 150W neo-therm
Refugium light: JBJ Nano-Glo
Rock: BRS Pukani and Tonga Branch
ATO: Tunze Osmolator 3155
Controller: Apex Lite

Welcome to the FMAS forum. Hope to see you at a meeting soon :) Looks like you are off to a great start. I like the stand cover.

Thank you for the compliments. I am thinking more mixed reef. But mainly zoas/palys, lps, and a little SPS.

I figured by having the cover it allows me to get full access to the sump. We'll see how it goes. I'm not going to be able to make the meeting tonight but I should definitely be coming soon.
