About 10 months ago I had a problem with the metal halide in my NC 28 HQI shutting off. I replaced the bulb and ballast to no avail. Then I replaced the disc thermostat and it seemed to correct it. I assume I used the correct one by cross referencing the number on it and converting it from metric to us. I got a 250* F thermostat.
Recently it began again, so I replaced the disc thermostat however the problem remains. I can hear what I assume is the thermostat opening to shut the power off.
The hood is no warmer than it's been, all fans are working and I cleaned them after the problem started. When I leave the hood open, it works perfectly and doesn't shut off however, within a couple minutes of shutting the hood the light goes out.
