NCPARS sponsor of the meeting is questionable

We are still working on NCPARS sponsorship of the meeting for the room and food. We were set for the meeting and it looks like NCPARS sponsorship might be questionable. We might pay for the whole event( room and food) or we will have the place charge for each person come to the event to cover the cost. I had sponsors before to pay for the place and had to turn them down because NCPARS sponsorship and not hate to go back and ask them for help. We are kinda stuck but no matter what the event will be at the same place, date, and time.

I gave NCPARS final words on letting us know by Monday Noon or we will change the agreement. The meeting will happen no matter what. NCPARS decision always comes to one person's decision and does not matter what others say.
I just don't want to give somebody credit for something we pay for. I will wait untill Monday noon and will explain more about it. If NCPARS sponsoring the meeting won't work then Benjies will be charging people to come to the meeting and we are set even if we have to pay a little more to cover the charge. I should've know better that words are easier thant act and I guess this is a lesson for the future.

"NCPARS decision always comes to one person's decision and does not matter what others say".

zooqi, this is the number one reason for the problems with npars in the past and the present.

This will be a great event bec of your efforst, w/ or w/o npars support.

This is ridiculous! I don't understand what this person's problem is but this is exactly why some of the BOD has to change with NCPARS.
Mo- I know the meeting will be great and hopefully this caos doesn't bring you down. Keep your chin up - we're going to have a great time no matter what happens.

Mo,

You know that NCPARS is still sponsoring the event. All we had asked for was invoices from Benjies. I understand they were sent so I'm not sure why you think our sponsorship is questionable.

mo i feel bad for you. you are a nice guy and people try to take advantage. the only reason ncpars wanted to "sponsor" the event was because they realized not many people were going to go to their event.

again the decisions sould be made by the club members not just one person. this is why i would rather be a part of the philly club or the new jersey club.

ncpars is loosing members and everyone knows why.

mo-- your event will be great. people wont mind paying a little extra to attend. good luck

Mo and I made the decision to sponsor the event TOGETHER. We BOTH thought it would benefit BOTH groups. NCPARS still has every intention of sponsoring the event. The problem happening here is that Mo just wants to get things done and for the most part that works for him, but NCPARS is a business...even though it's certainly not a business about making money we still have to spend it properly. All we want is a paper trail. 2 or 3 years ago we were told we had Heggins Fire hall on a date for a swap..and just about last minute they canceled and moved our date..and I believe it was after the check was sent. So now...we get paper..from them, or from anybody that we pay....consider it lessons learned as the club was being formed.

Everything will go on as planned..as long as it is what we agreed on and the board voted on..the money WILL go out...we just need to make sure it's being documented properly.

I'm not going to get into another long winded debate about the personalities involved here..it's just not worth it. There are too many people out there with only pieces of the situation making it sound like they know it all and bashing people....

If NCPARS is not able to sponsor this event..it will be because of impatience and non-cooperation on the parts of EVERYBODY...not just "one person."

I personally don't think it is unreasonable to ask a business to give NCPARS an invoice for the $800 we will be shelling out for the rental and food. .....and anybody who thinks paperwork for $800 isn't necessary shouldn't be a treasurer.

Fizz, I understand where you are coming from. I dont think it would be too much to ask for an invoice before shelling out that kind of $$$

This is all resolved now, so it's done. But frankly, dealing with this kind of thing publicly on RC is not helpful to anyone. It was going to get worked out, now it is.

Like Barney said that is resolved for now and I won't go through the whole detail of stuff and rather move on to the event plans. We got tons of stuff to do and no matter what we will have the meeting at the same place, time. I posted to let those who are involved in planning the event know that. This way we know what is next step if this sponsorship failed. The invoice info is done and I did have it and let NCPARS know that I will get it and need the final wordings that they want on it and Scott gave me an idea days ago on what is needed in there so I did it based on that exactly. So lets frag and swap guys and go on. Thanks for everybody's support. It will be a great event.

hey
everyone knows it's human nature to wait till the last min to get things done. but i know where mo comes from when it comes to money matters with the club.

I am officially done. I am not willing to fight or argue any longer. It is in my best interest to move on. I hope this does not affect anyone elses decisions. I have a lot going on with school and at home so I must back out while I can. I am still going to attend the swap, but I must re-evaluate my situations and priorities. As for now I will take a back seat. I will still be on the nomination committiee, but I am pulling out of the race for BOD.

Any questions? PM me,

Thanks,

Rick

Rick, hope you stay around even if you are not in the BOD. Everybody is part of this community and sometimes we agree or disagree. We might not agree with certain people in the Board and that's why we have elections. If you are not in the BOD or part of it then please don't forget us here and be part of our chat. After this meeting we have some changes to do to REEFNEST too and improve it and we might need people like you.

WOW, Mo, I am really thankful for your kind words. I have been convinced by a few members in the club to stick around and even run in the upcoming elections. I guess all I needed was a little pep talk. Thanks again MO. I just like being constructive and not destructive. I don't like the fighting, disagreeing is one thing, but when people outright start shooting off it makes alot of other people want to shy away from a club atmosphere and seek something else or another club. If we want to be successful we must keep the arguing out of everything. Especially out of the public eye. That is what telephones and emails are for. If you must argue, I think it is wise to keep it quiet and resolve it before posting or blurting things out for the public to see and get discouraged. Thats all. Thanks for the confidence boost. I will see you at the swap. Keep an eye out for those clowns for me please.

thanks,

Rick
