This is going to be a fun filled day for most. I on the other hand am going to be very busy... ;)

Who is planning on attending the TFP fall swap?

We are going to do a MACNA Recap presentation for those of you who can't make it to MACNA this year! I started another thread about the requests. I should be bringing back plenty of information on the new products and company info as well.

Any suggestions of things you all would like to see happen for the TFP swap? Demos, lectures, etc?

Hi! I was just curious how to get involved with the club and also with the frag swap? Quick background, I went to school and graduated with a marine biology degree but unfortunately life pulled me in another direction so it's not my living anymore, but is a huge hobby. Right now i'm running two large tanks...one a reef and the other a fish only until we buy our new house next year. I also started a frag tank which is approx 36" x 36" x 12". I have about 8 different zoanthids and palys, numerous frags of green monitpora, frogspawn, hammer coral, xenia, kenya, etc. Although I don't feel any of this will be ready by October 1st for the frag swap at TFP, I am extremely interested in participating in the future. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how to get involved in this club and the future frag swaps? I will be attending the frag swap and would love to meet some of you and ask questions on Oct. 1. Thanks for your help!

Great,we are glad to see your interest in our society. You are going to meet the group at the swap which is fast approaching so up until then just keep an eye on this forum and our clubs site ncpars.org for updates.

With your backround you may want to run for a BOD position or volunteer to help the society. Our goal is to protect the natural reefs by growing and trading captive grown animals, educating the public in conservation of our natural reefs and of course our one of a kind Tanks In Schools Program.

Be sure to find me at the event and introduce yourself.I will be the big guy with corals in each hand and a tied bag hanging from my teeth, lol

Just had some info leaked to me about the Raffle items.United Pet Group stepped up and donated a Marineland 93 gallon cube aquarium and Monterey stand and to add some icing to the cake,Current graciously donated a Cardiff aquarium system.Thats two aquariums up for grabs along with 20 or 30 more items that our awesome sponsors gave to show support for our great society. This is going to be a super show.

x2uranium,
Sorry for the slow response, been a crazy few days for us with the weather. I replied to you, in our forum. There will be a lot of great sales for the weekend, including 20% off all Marineland aquarium products (Tanks, Stands, Lights and more) All the information is on our October sales flyer, which will be in the mail and on our website in the coming weeks.

What is the sale on the tanks?? I tried posting in the "That fish place" Sponsor forum but nobody got back to me.

chill dude, half the states under water man.JK,lol.Jon,I Told you there would be some sweet sales on tanks.Don't miss the best fall swap in the country and a chance to visit the largest and best pet store in the world at the same time

if we want to set up a small tank (10g) to sell frags at swap do we have to pay for a table? or can we just come in set up anywhere?

cant wait for this swap btw, ive been at every swap each year since the very first one!

As long as you are not a commercial interest and pay your entrance fee then there isn't a seperate cost for table setup at this time. We look forward to seeing you there as well! Its going to be a fun day for sure! :)

I am looking for mini brittle stars for pickup at the swap. If anyone has any to sell start the population in my tank pm me. Thank you.

that's kindof what i thought but the website say's october is customer appreciation month so i was hoping that it would be on sale all month long wishful thinking i guess
