NEA Visit w/ Behind-the-Scenes Tour

I think we're at six or seven people.

We don't have a time yet for the behind-the-scenes part, but I think they were opting for after lunch. I figured we'd get there by 11 - 11:30.

What do you all think?

Chris B., What time s the tour? How many people do you have at this point?

You comin'?

A Mr. Steve Bailey will be giving us the tour. He'd like to start at 11:00 AM. Unfortunately, for late-risers like me, having to get up and out early will be tough, but worth it. We should start hitting the Boston area after rush-hour, so that's good. Carpooling is encouraged. I expect it'll be up to a 3 1/2 ride.

They put a visitor form through so that the front desk will know we are coming and can inform Steve when we arrive. I don't think that means we'll get in for free, but I do have a bit of hope. I'll let you know what I find out.

No fishy tour for me this week.

I took in another foster dog today.. His name is Burt (the beagle). Cute little bugger but I can't leave him for the day yet. He is on phenobarbital and I just want to be around in case the move to my house triggers a seizure.

Trying to plan travel details...

I think we're going to take 90 to 95 South (one exit) to get on the Riverside T.

That'll mean ~2.5 hours to the T station and another hour to the Aquarium.

We're leaving at 7 AM (gulp).

Take lots of pics guys! I was there about ten years ago and I loved it then. Imagine it's even nicer now. Behind the scenes tour will be sweet!

For anyone who may have wondered...

"You purchase outside at the ticket booth and then come inside and tell them your name at the Visitor Service desk."

I'm backing out of the trip... I have some stuff I need to get taken care of since I got the day off from work.... I hope you all have a great time... :)

I will meet yas at front desk around 11 also. We are going to drive down, Robyn has a cousin that lives in Boston. May end up staying the night. ;)

Chris - I cannot thank you enough for setting this up. I have been a member since I have been in Fitchburg, and have never taken advantage of the 'behind the scenes part'. It is amazing what goes on beyond the show! I want to go back and see those jellies reproducing again. btw - Lisa and I did go to Body Parts - well worth another trip. Plus it feels so good to play hooky from work.

Let's do this again soon.
