Neal's Zoa/Paly Pics...

Thank u

I have about 16 different zoas/palys... Some are actually not doin so hot since lowering my alk back down to high 6's dkh... So im bringing it back up to about 9, which seems to be a good medium... So we will see... Bam bams have not been doing well, and the last time I saw the which was yesterday morning, they were at their worst so far... That is when my alk was at its lowest... 6 before dosing it back up to about 7... But again, I'm gonna start keeping it at 9 and finally utilizing my dosing pump spaced out over 24 hours daily, with doses happening every 4 hours... I'm hoping the bam bams start doing better... But we will see... Fingers crossed... Those started at 2 polyps about 19 months ago... So it would be ashamed to see them jus disappear ;)

Could you summarize your findings vis-a-vis Alk. and your zoas' reactions? The reason I ask is because I recently discoverd that my IO salt was seriously low in Ca, Alk, and Mg. and some of my zoas have been closed or only opening part-way for the past few months I've been using it. Here's the link to the thread with the details of how I figured it out and what I'm doing to correct it. Anyways, curious to know about your experience with Alk and troubleshooting zoa health.

Added a small colony of pink and golds... Gonna take some time, but if they make it, I think they will turn out real nice... They were jus mounted to another larger plug in this pic, so they aren't too happy... This photo was from a few days back, they looked a little more relaxed today, but have a ways to go before they look as good as they did in the tank the came from... But I'm optomisitic, sometimes for zoas it's a real shock to be introduced to my system it seems... Some don't make it, some do great... Jus never know, lol...

Turned my purple people eaters 90 degrees to the right and cleaned up all the vermatid worms (I think they are called, could absolutely be wrong though)... I did this same thing to my orange bam bams the other day and my purple hornets a few weeks back... Both seem to be doing better as far as extension...

My bam bams coming around finally... Still not sure though what's goin on or how they will do from here, but I'm optimistic...

A short video of my new return inlet and jus to give u an idea of the kinda system turnover I have... I find the more flow through here, the cleaner the display stays of detritus... My return pump is a bit much for my display, a mag drive 9.5, but this is how I like to run my system... High flow, and high turnover, with oversized skimming...
