I don't have any skills to envy... I'm still a noob basically... But thank you for the kind words and encouragement... I've been very lucky and unlucky at times thus far, and I'm sure that isn't gonna change soon, lol...
the first pic i have taken of my pink elephants... the color is better in person... after a few months the skirt is finally turning pink... they are growing well also now... should be looking pretty good in another couple months

i am now using red sea coral pro salt... as well as 0 tds RODI water...
until about a month ago, i was using instant ocean regular salt, jus regular well water that was slightly filtered and had a tds reading of around 85 to 100 on average...
i should start seeing a significant improve i am thinking... which will be nice, cuz til this point, i havent done too bad considering my lack of husbandry in certain areas of my hobby...
When using the regular instant ocean what kind of growth rates were you observing, meaning #ofnewheads/week(month). Just curious because instant ocean in my tank seems to have my zoas growth rate slooooow, compared to when I was using aquavitro salinity.
Well, from may of last year, til last month, in 1 years time, my Rastas went from 4 polyps, to over 200... Any zoa I've kept, has done excellent if it's survived the acclimation process to my system, which usually takes about 2 to 3 months for new additions to established growth and color if they are able to get used to the conditions of my system and don't melt away before that...
I really do expect everything to do even better now... With the drastic improvement of tds, as well as the stability I have re-established with my systems water quality... I reduced my sps collection and have started a few peices over as well... So alk and things like that, are much more consistent now... And in this hobby, stable alk is your friend in keeping all types of corals
I would also like to note, that today, I took my carbon and reactors offline... I am now running a strictly high flow, and strong skimmed system, with minimal bio media (the tiles)...
Unfortunately I seem to be losing my bam bams... But everything else is doin quite well...
I'm in love with clementines though and the orange they have... So if the bam bams go (which obviously I'm trying to prevent), I wouldn't feel so bad, lol... And I kinda wana get rid of my candy apple reds... They jus don't do it for me anymore...
Jus adding some thoughts to my thread while I'm here, but again, thank you for the kind words...
