What about a Liopropoma? I've got an L. mowbrayi and not only is he a stunner (gotta love that pink&blue), but an absolute model citizen (well... except for my old peppermint shrimp XD). If you like gobies, LADD has got 3 cool ones at the moment. Cryptocentrus maudae, Callogobius hasselti, and Tomiyamichthys nudus. Though the nudus might be more of a true nano fish than reef fish...

As said by other members earlier, blackcap basslets and possum wrasses are very good choices as well. (used to have a yellow banded possum wrasse, amazing personality)

Ruby Red Dragonet.

I wasn't a fan of the dragonets based on their reputation for poor survival rates.
But I recently acquired a male Ruby Red Dragonet and I love it.

The dragonet's red coloration is brilliant when contrasted against darker corals and live rock.
And when he displays, the fins are striking.

I also have a Midas Blenny, tangs and a clownfish pair (amongst many others) and none of them bother the dragonet in the least.
The only aggression I have seen is from my Randall's Shrimp Goby which was expected; as the dragonet was investigating one of the burrow openings.

I like the fish so much that I have a request in for a female to accompany the male; as 120gal of water is quite much for a lonely bachelor.

I've been looking at the Callogobius hasselti... but the size of the fish, and what looks to be a proportionately large mouth, scare me a bit

From the research I've done, they don't show that brilliant color majority of the time Also, judging by the way my little starry blenny reacted to a pair of barnacle blennies I added this weekend, I doubt he'd appreciate another large blenny in the tank.

Yeah I've read that they change their color based in their mood.

I like the leopard blenny too, but I think they eat sps.

I rolled the dice and added two Macneilli assessors; they ended up forming a pair. One of them disappears for a few weeks, then reappears. I suspect they're spawning. They swim right next to each other, it's pretty cool. They never bother anything.

I like the "small fish in a 150" idea - it's my vision as well. I have an order coming in on Friday with 7 Coryphopterus personatus, 5 Emblemaria pandionis (3males 2 females), 2 Chaenopsis limbaughi (m/f), and 4 Priolepis hipoliti (2 collected pairs).

ORA has yellow and blue (Randall's) assessors which are fantastic fish. I added 3 of each to my tank in February and love them. The yellows are out all the time, the blues a bit less. I highly recommend them.

After getting that shipment in a week and a half ago, I can definitely recommend the Personatus gobies and the Emblemaria pandionis blennies. Both are very cool.

The gobies have formed pairs or trios and there are now 3 separate little groups of them. They don't hide at all and are always out and about. They enjoy ReefNutrition ROE, Cyclops, and SustainableAquatics clownfish feed (a kind of otohime).

The Emblemaria pandionis blennies are even cooler though - the males flick their dorsal fins up and down a lot. They've spread throughout the tank, and during feeding time they're pretty bold. Makes the tank a lot more interesting.
