Need a 45mm(1.75") glass Hole saw

I need a 45mm hole saw ( 1.75" ) to drill my new panel for the 15g frag tank. I went to lowes and picked up a drill bit but on my test piece I didnt have much luck and it was taking forever and a day.

If you have one for loan or sale let me know. Really kicking myself now not having the shop do it for the $25 could have been done and installed by now but instead the DIY'er in me won and now I have a $15.00 drill bit that I will most likey never use again.

I am in the Spring Hill / Franklin area. Was really hoping to have this tank back together tonight but who knows maybe someone will come to my rescue on this one.

i used drill bits to drill my 15 this past tuesday...and everything went great and only took me about 15-20 minutes....did your test piece take longer than that?

It took me about 10 min per hole and I figure I need atleast 10 holes or more for a 1.75" hole

Did you use a hollow bit or a spade looking one ?

No it was drilled but when didnt think about the pipe hanging and clunk , crack ,arg !

Yesterday I installed the new panel and tested today and is good to go. Would have had the shop drill it but one shop told me $18 and 2 weeks another told me $25 and 2days for a what I am reading a 4 min hole. Oh well good experiance for eventually doing my 100g CLS and over flows I have wanted for so long.

WORD OF ADVICE !
When it says in well ventilated area it really means DO IT OUT SIDE !! and even then watch yourself. I got a bit too close to the sealant fumes and MAN ! dang near knocked my self out.

OK well I will order a 45mm off ebay tonight. Thanks for looking Ryan

Yeah... those fumes become rather concentrated inside the tank... and as soon as you move in to check a seam somewhere BAM! sealant fumes hit you over the head like a ton of bricks!

Well the tank is repaired and drilled thanks to Ryan for letting me borrow his hole saw while i wait for mine to come in the mail.

Took me about an hour to drill the hole , prob could have went faster but I was being VERY cautious.
