Need a 75 - 100 gal system

I have a MAJOR ich outbreak and was wondering if anyone had a FO system or maybe just a tank, stand and sump in their garage I could borrow or rent for 2 months? I need to let the main system go fallow for that long to make sure it's gone and also treat what I have left with hyposalinity to get rid of what they have.

I'll be trying my LFS in the morning and go with them first, this is a just in case.

Thanks,
Barry

Thanks for the offers guys. My LFS has a 55 they'll lend me and with my 30 gal qt that should do it.

how many fish and what type of tank? if its a reef, well depending on how stressed your fish are, it should be healthy enough to go away on its own. ich is usually always present in the tank its just that fish usually are healthy enough to fend it off on their own, like in nature. my 12 year old clown gets ich at least once every few months, and so does my nox angel. if its a healthy reef maybe consider a cleaner wrasse or a cleaner shrimp. in your size tank a few of those would really help.

Still would be best to treat it is you have the time, patience, and requirements. I don't know of any parasite being beneficial to your fish. Just because it goes dormant(or inactive to the human eye), it does not mean it is not eating the fish from the inside. Remember, ich does not "want" to kill your fish. If they can live for another 20 years, that is a great food source for the ich and it does not mind eating off of that same fish for that long. Stress usually induces the ich to be truely damaging to the fish, but it is detrimental at any time.

If your fish are getting ich every few months, their is either something that spurs it, a new batch of larvae just formed, or the ich is very prevalent in your tank. I would definitely watch it carefully...it may be something that many overlook, but it can be a serious threat to the fish's health and quality of life.

I agree with cschweitzer here. I've got a bigger QT 55 gal and ALL the fish are coming out tomorrow for 60 days of hyposalinity.
