Need A Camera For Coral Shots

Now that my tank is worthy of the SPS forum I want to start taking some good macro shots. unfortunately I have no idea what Im looking for. Im open to ideas but would like to keep it around 500 and im open to used equipment.

I just picked up a Nikon D3100 (demo referb) from Cameta Camera online. They have several package and lens options to choose from. I am still learning the ins and outs of the camera but it is a nice camera for a good price.
