It's a saltwater fish and the mouth is not pointy. Got it from a lfs but they didn't know what it was.

You bought a fish that you know nothing about? Not a wise decision imo. Hopefully someone can ID it for you so you can figure out it's care requirements. Try posting a pic in the reef fishes forum.

I think it's a scat that's been acclimated to saltwater. Probably not a pinecone fish; if it was a pinecone fish they'd definitely know what it was since they're pretty expensive. There's one on the diver's den right now for $350.

Yeah, a lot of brackish fish can be acclimated to saltwater. Do you have it with other fish?

The tail isn't like a scat's tail. It's not aggressive and it was a impluse purchase we've all done that before. Spare me the lecture of doing my research it's in QT in my fowlr tank.
