Need a main pump

My Mag 12 died the other day. It is only 10 months old. I have to replace it and I'm not sure if I want to get another Mag drive pump. I've used them in the past an have had no problems but 10 months is pretty short time for a pump. I was looking at quiet one which was on my old tank and worked flawlessly for years without any problems, it is also the pump I put on this tank until I get another one. I saw a sale on Rio never used them before and not sure how they perform. Any suggestions on pumps to use.

An ehiem may cost a bit more, but will last pretty much forever.

I looked at the ehiem because of all the positive comments from people on this board but the flow was too low for my tank. I need at least 1200 gph for my setup and by the time you add in bends and head pressure I would only get around 700 gph with the ehiem.

I went with the Quiet One 5000 pump. The last tank I had I use this pump only smaller and I never had a problem in over 5 years and I think I only cleaned it once in that time. I'm using that pump right now until the new one comes in. My Mag Drive 12 is still under warranty so I will send it back for repairs and save it as a backup incase this ever happens again. Mag Drives are another pump that gets good reviews on this site so I must have gotten a lemon. Thanks for the input.
