I have a ledge and it pretty much gets no light under it for obvious reasons. I was looking to put some kind of non photo coral there than can handle real strong flow. It would be a few inches away from my lg tunze wavebox. I do feed my other gorgonians and dendros so that isn't a problem. Can anything live that close to the wavebox?
Thanks,
Mike

Truly most of the NPS can live that close. Just as an example, I have a sun coral 4 inches away from my wave box and it loves it. It's a bit of trial and error.

I was thinking about something either more encrusting if there is something or if there is something similar to a carnation that can handle the strong flow or one that isn't really hard to keep. My tank is very established... about 10 years old. I know they are totally different things. ha ha Any ideas?

Chili coral (Nephthyigorgia) or paraminabea (more likely to spread over the rock)... There are some cool sponges that might do well in a very established tank, some have commensal zoas on them.

I was originally thinking about a chili too, but I wasn't sure if the wavbox would damage it if it is about 4-5 inches away, but in direct blast. Where can I pick up a paraminabea? I am not sure if I have seen one around.
Thanks,
Mike
